Thanks for the tip. I found it useful on my 2400 cause I don't always hear the drive, but I kept it for the same reason I have the clock set to show seconds. When my system froze or failed to respond, I'd check the clock and the drive icon to see if I had a crash on the way or I just needed to wait a few seconds. It was a small thing, but I just got used to having it. . .
