That APS SCSI adaptor will work well with your Duo; its only 
shortcoming is that it has no latch to hold it in place, but the SCSI 
Microdock tends to hold it in. As a side note it doesn't work so well 
with a 2400 because the built-in SCSI port is kind of recessed and 
blocked by the case shroud (this can be addressed by opening the APS 
adaptor and shifting the pin package forward, but that's another 
story).

The little LED indicates whether SCSI termination power is present, 
one of the nice features of that adaptor. At least one device on your 
chain should light it up when turned on. It's not to indicate the 
switch position, since you can always tell that by...looking at the 
switch. ;)

The slide switch should be set to the normal-looking SCSI symbol (one 
line). The other setting puts a Powerbook in SCSI target mode, the 
same thing you can achieve by holding down the 'z' key while booting 
with a SCSI Microdock or Ultradock on a Duo.
