>I need to do presentations with my lectures/studies. I have all the equipment >to project on screen using AverKey box etc.. I now need to figure out what >software will work on an older DUO effectively.... >Joe Fisher ======== Joe I have a Duo 280c that works very well with PowerPoint 3.0 for presentations. 3.0 has most of the features that make for an effective presentation, but was before Microsoft felt they had to add all the goofy features in their race with Aldus' Persuation and others. I also have 4.0, but by that version Powerpoint had become bloated and slow, at least for my 280c. I just have better things to put on my limited amount of hard drive space than their silliness. I also have a collapsible, portable, Infocus LCD panel. This is really compact, and virtually every customer has an overhead projector that I can use it with. LCD panels are far cheaper than the more whizzy projectors and result in the same presentation. My current project is to take VHS movies, digitize them on my 840AV, and incorporate them as small QuickTime thumbnail movies in a PowerPoint presentation to be used on my 280c. All this for less than $500. worth of "yesterdays" technology. Dennis in Minnesota
