One thing I have noticed between IE and NC is that IE tends to have a much better cache system. On several systems, and boxes, IE displays the previous page in a heartbeat. NC seems to always want to 'reload' the page even when the preference is set not to. Also, IE does not reload the page when maximizing or minimizing like NC, which is simply a pain in the but if you need to resize.
