I have one of both as well and lately I've found myself using my 280c more than my 2300c. I suspect it's the lack of L2 cache on the 2300c, but it just feels slower in a lot of ways. I recently went back to 7.1 from 8.1 on the 280c and it just flies. As far as I can see, about the only reason to run a 2300 over a 280 is if you have some kind of PPC application you have to run.
