Peter, Welcome to the Pismo world. I found your website last fall, I was very impressed with the professional appearance of both the web site as well as the modifications you displayed. I can't wait to see what your going to do with the pismo. I own one myself, or rather ,my company owns it. It is a great machine , more than enough for me. Whether it's personal or professional work it has the punch that is necessary for the job. I love the 2400 but the Pismo is considerably faster.(obviously)
I do disagree with the Pismo's fragility. I work with quite a few clumsy graphic designers and you should see the scrapes and scratches on some of these machines. They are not the most careful people and their machines keep working . some of the stuff I've seen hapen to a pismo, no 2400 would survive. As I've said before on this list, the 2400's case design has allot to be improved upon. I think it's weight factor is what saves it in a fall. Just my opinion not necessarily fact.
