Which minidock? There should be some kind of external connection capability
with any dock.

Yeah, almost certainly a software problem then.

Hmm, that does present a problem. I'd say you really need to get access to
a floppy somehow. One of the limitations and features of a Duo is limited
external connectivity. To make good use of a Duo you really need to at
least have a Floppy microdock just in case of situations like this. If it
breaks you have no way of booting it. Full-sized docks are plentiful and
fairly cheap, while the other various mini and microdocks are around too
but in varying availability and price. I just picked up an Apple Minidock
off the swap list and it's breathed new life into my Duos :)

Hmm, not sure if you can boot off a persistent RAM disk until it's back in
memory. Haven't tried it, but it would seem like you'd have to get it
booted far enough for the RAM disk to be loaded off the disk and into RAM
before it could boot it.

It can definitely be fixed, just depends on whether you have the external
connectivity.

I love my Duos too :) They each have names, too ;) I thought I was weird
when I named my computers but since joining these lists awhile back I found
that quite a few people name their computers. I also read a study that
showed more people were attached to their computers than their cars. I'm
sure you can get it working again :)
