I came by a 2400c a while back. It obviously was missing a few parts. I
bought a new HD, a 64 mg RAM chip and took it to my local Mac dealer.

The Mac dealer said there were parts missing and it would take an hour
($100) to find the parts, plus the price of the parts and labor to instll.
I balked and brought it all home.

They say it is missing the HD cable, which is entirely possible. Without
knowing 2400's it would be hard to know what other parts, if any, may be
missing. I could easily spend $300 to 400, which doesn't make much sense.
And, I still will need a new battery, and there goes another $300. I coiuld
easily have a very expensive cheap computer!

So, either I send it to someone who is throughly knowledgeable about these
little guys, and pay them to tell me what is missing, plus have them fix
it, or just throw in the towel and sell it and do something else.

The idea of a high capacity little PowerBook is fascinating. I like that
idea. But, money does matter, or I'd own a new Book every year.

I can use the HD in my 1400c, the RAM probably cost more now than when I
bought it, but is useless in any other machine.

Any other suggestions? offers?
