Off the top of my head....w/o labor or shipping.

1. Upgrade to 64MB DRAM to total 80MB, appx. $50-100 depending on
source....eBay?
96MB DIMM is $400 if you are really motivated.

2. HD...upgrade to 20GB+, appx $100 to $200 depending on source.
3. G3 processor upgrade...virtually unavailable, but $150-200 for a
Newer G3 or $300-500 for a Interware/Vimage G3, if you can find one.
Usually easier to just buy a 2400 with it already installed...once
again, if you can find one.
4. CardBus enablement...$100 or so from MCE,
http://store.powerbook1.com/mcecarupser.html, they can also do the
upgrades at the same time, if you don't want to take it apart
yourself.
5. Yu-Plan keyboard...pretty colors and slightly larger keys....Bill
Fox at Mac's Only, http://www.macimports.com/home.html

Those are the major items, with RAM and the HD being the primarily
"must have's".
