Well I can't eat the whole cake myself ... so I will be happy to share. Here in Austin I frequnet the Goodwill Computer Store. THEY used to have a whole room that was an ACTUAL Museum with informative text and some of the strangest old machines. They closed that a year back. (theft they said)
Now they sell the old stuff it seems :-) I always find some strange thing there. ----- yesterday they had a 2300 duo with powersupply for $20 I almost bought it for the powersupply. to use for my 2400c. the duo had some corrosion in the battery bay ( I think). it said 4mb ram and 320mb HD on the sticker. AS-IS If anyone needs parts and want to split it with me I just want the A/c power supply. maybe we can work out a deal. they had a few 170s and 140 ? and 540c and 5300 all in various stages of decay, all under $50 - most $20 Sometimes you can boot these things ... sometimes they say NOPE AS-IS. strange. they also still have four or so Duo Docks. ------ Batteries ? ... Goodwill had several grey batteries in a kind of carry case. Duo batteries??? I don't know. ------ Even MORE interestingly another store: Compuzone has NEW in the box 2400c Batteries. I got one myself so there are 4 left. They wanted $220 each. I got my Ti-Book from these guys so they cut me a small discount. but they did not have much room to deal. So after a charge the battery meter said I had 1hr 40 min. I did not yet test it to drained. Is this a rare item ? I did not think these batteries were still available. -- ==== Bon V.
