Nick, for a complete setup you might try and locate a Newer BookEndz 
docking station(and a faster CD drive ;-).

I've run three different brands of 15-17" monitors directly into it, 
i.e., NEC, Radius and Mitsubishi....and Apple way back when.  Any 
SVGA monitor will plug into the dock or the 2400 without an adapter.

All of these are ridiculously cheap now, e.g.,

seem to start around $235 or so.
