As a matter of fact, I still use it on my 2400c with an external FireWire burner. No problem ripping off CDs and getting SoundJam to dialog with Toast Deluxe to burn a CD off a SoundJam list. 10MB of dedicated memory is way overkill, although setting 4 or 5 MB of extra memory in the preferences dialog will reduce power consumption and heat, as SoundJam will preload the songs and let your hard drive spin down more often. Maybe a problem with the CD connection or termination? Can you extract AIFFs from a CD using a program like Toast Audio Extractor or similar?
