BTI might just as well have been upfront about it since day number one 
and admit they needed a minimum order to carry on with the project. 
Instead they chose the path of overpromising and underdelivering.

As for only 15 people willing to buy, I don't believe it. Bear in mind 
that we are talking about the times where there were no USB iBooks and 
used 2400c batteries fetched $300+ on eBay if you could find one. I am 
pretty sure that even now you can get more than 15 people to sign a 
petition for longer lasting 2400c batteries.
