Today I tried to install X.1 on a 7600 with XPF. I actually got as far
as the "Click here to begin installation". IOW, it booted into X from
the developer CD that I bought secondhand. As soon as I click the
relevant button, the installer gives me an error. If I click anywhere I
get an OSX blue screen--but nothing freezes. A three finger salute and
a PRAM zap, and I can reboot into 9.1 again.

What gives! I took out all PCI cards and am using a Seagate drive
formatted with 9.1's Drive Setup.

Frustrated to come close!
