Hi, ListMom here.
...trying to decide where we take the list.
Thoughts?

Eric,

I'm changing my mind... After reading the recent posts, and considering the following, my vote goes to keeping the lists separate.

In short?

It would be far easier for interested parties to subscribe to both lists.

I suspect that with separate lists, a good number of the treasured folks here will populate both lists. In the end as an individual interested subscriber, whether the lists are together or separate, you'll end up receiving the same number of posts anyway.

As separate lists, those with brand new toys, and no interest in legacy machines, will not be interrupted by irrelevant pre-OSX posts, and battery surgery. On the other side, those without the new gear, won't need to filter out what may become a majority proportion of non-legacy queries.

I suspect the new machine will generate far more traffic than the legacy machines, and that if combined, you will in the end need to separate at some point.

Possibly a note at the beginning of each list's digest referencing the other one.

Regards,
Marc
