List members,

After longing for a 2400 for years I finally have one. A friend sent me one
he had sitting in a closet for 2 years. He tried to put a new 6 gig HD in
from MCE and it never started up again.

I am assuming my friend screwed it up : )

When I hit the On/Off button it does nothing. HD does not spin, no screen
flash. What should I do first? I am wondering if the keyboard ribbon was
damaged, but I have not went in yet to see.

It looks like he did a ram upgrade too, I found a 32 meg card in the bag.

All assistance appreciated!!!
