Taking this thread _totally_ OT, my solution doesn't involve using a Duo or 2400 at all, but instead employs the most reliable of all digital technologies:
How about using large handwritten numerals which can be manually attached to an even larger board? Using the most sophisticated processors available to drive the numerical array, when the score changes, digits (fingers attached to hands ;-) replace the old score with the updated score. Operating such an astounding device would be simplicity itself, where even a small child could master its controls. :-) And best of all, it fits the low-cost design spec to a T. Operating costs are low, energy consumption minimal (perhaps a few snacks per game for the operator.) hth, Dan K ("Simple" is my middle name! :-) ................................. http://macdan.n3.net/ carracho://dankephoto.dhs.org:9700 hotline://dankephoto.dhs.org:9500 ................................. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
