What goes around, comes around. Anyone else here ever have a home computer in the 80's and saved stuff to audio cassette tapes? DAT is Digital, but it's still Audio Tape. :) Hmmm, also in the 80's was a gizmo called the Danmere Backer which used any ordinary VHS VCR for data backup with a pretty large capacity.
