Are you using static addresses in the correct range for your network? What's your router IP address? Have you tried switching AppleTalk on?

Thanks for the hints.
Here are some specs:
My 2400c runs OS 9.1;
I'm trying to connect using DHCP
The address(es) that show up (all) do start with 169
I've tried setting TCP/IP manually without success
No, ethernet did not work (though it did a while ago but something has gone awry since).
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Peter
