Rory,
I flooded my Duo keyboard twice, at one time with orange juice, which
didn^t do much, and at another time with white wine (good Italian
Antinori) which proved the stronger agent and almost completely ruined my
Duo 230. I don't know about coffee, I'm a tea drinker...
In fact the keyboard is not as much a problem as the circuitry that
resides underneath and next to it. You should open up the Duo as soon as
possible, not only to take out the keyboard and clean it, but to look for
coffee stains elsewhere. If the water in your coffee has not done the job
of irrefutably shortcutting the circuitry, cristallization of organic
substances and corrosion might.
Removing and cleaning the keyboard is fairly easy, it took me about one
hour when I did it for the first time (after my 2nd accident I waited too
long and had to find black stains of "rust" on the circuitry foil that
could not be removed). A good description of taking apart the notebook
and cleaning the keyboard can be found at
http://home.att.net/~JBDUOFAQ/inter.html. Removing the trackpad is also
not very complicated, though you will have to remove the top of the lower
part of the book. Links to instructions on disassembling can be found at

Good luck
Edgar
