With 80 MB hard disk space, I would go for 7.1 + System Update 3.0 +
Thread Manager + Powerbook Duo Enabler.

7.5.5 to 7.6.1 would use up 30-50 Mb of your 80 MB hard disk.

I have AppleWorks 5.0, Word 5.1+97-98 converter, and BBEdit Lite on my
Duo 250 (same as Duo 230 except for the screen), but I've upgraded the
HD to 500 MB.

WriteNow and Nisus Writer 4 (freeware!) are also good, but I would go
for AppleWorks 5.0 or ClarisWorks 4.0, because you'll get spreadsheets,
databases, and a telecom program etc in one small package.

Best Regards,
