A crusade (Any of the military expeditions undertaken by European
Christians in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries to recover the Holy Land
from the Moslems) involves getting other people involved and fired up about
your endeavor. I don't think any business enterprise is going to join the
fray on this one. I think any processor upgrade for the Duo 2300 is going
to have to be more of a Quest (An expedition undertaken in medieval romance
by a knight in order to perform a prescribed feat) or Odyssey (An extended
adventurous voyage or trip).

When Jason Ogrady went to Japan he saw a guy who completely disassembled his
PowerBook, made a mold and remade the case in clear plastic. Upgrading the
2300 to G3 is going to have to be a hell of a hack and if it's already been
done or going to be done, Japan is the place. There is a love of small
laptops and a culture into modifications. I was at the PowerBook class
picture and a Japanese PowerBook 2400 owner showed me his translucent
keyboard and custom gold emblems. He was surprised that as an American I
had popped out the little apples and painted them white on my 2400. I had a
nice Newer G3 sticker as well!
