Hey fellow DuoListers,
My PowerBook 2400c w/ Newer G3/512k and IBM MobileStor 6 Gig HD from MCE
has recently started giving me a lot of noise. It sounds kind of like a
computer fan with dust in it, if that helps at all. The noise is higher
pitched and louder than before, kind of oscillates pitch slowly, and also
sounds like the "electric" noise that comes out of an old fluorescent bulb
or a "bug zapper" (I thought it was the display at first)
I know it's the HD because the noise stops when I spin down the HD, and
the noise is definitely loudest under the left palm rest where the HD is.
If anyone knows a way to quiet this (very annoying) noise, I'd love to
know!
