I agree it is relevant to point out that most 2400's are fine...however, I
think the real issue is about original 603 processors and not upgraded
(newer/vimage) units.
To be clear for my own part...this information is not about holding Apple
responsible, as in legal action, but to gage the reliability of our
computers after they have been 'fixed'.
To those that think this is about Apple Bashing...far from my truth. In the
year that I've been on this list, I would guess that I've read about at
least 20 2400's just dying (wish I had saved that info)...I haven't read
that about other models...5300 issues aside.
Up until yesterday, for instance, I had no knowledge of the issue in Japan
and heat related issues before the upgraded 240 processor. I for one, am
just curious about the average of failure and the specifics of kind of
failure.
