Maybe this is OT. If so, humble apologies.

I have updated ColorSync to 2.6 on my 2300 w/OS 8.6 because, when running
previous systems, the ColorSync custom profiles I made would not stick. What
I mean by this is when I made a custom profile in the Monitors & Sound CP,
the new profile would work only if PRAM was zapped, and even then the
profile would last maybe two to three retarts before defaulting to the
original Mac standard profile (even though the custom profile was still
selected). Zapping PRAM gets the same result: I get the custom profile,
which changes back to the previous setting after the machine has been
rebooted a few times.

The new ColorSync makes no difference.

The Duo is in a Dock II. I use a Multiple Scan 15". Ah! Was there not some
mention about ColorSync not working with the 15" Multiple Scan? I thought I
read it somewhere, but it seems odd why this particular (and quite popular)
monitor will not work with ColorSync. And why does my custom profile work
and then revert?

I haven't been able to get a clear answer on this. Any listers had similar
problems?
TIA
