There is a known incompatability between the 2400 and several Toshiba 
HDs, including the 4GB model.  There is no way I'm aware of that you 
can get one to work.  It may be a power problem, but it's hard to 
tell.

The PB G3 292 has a much faster system bus, 83 MHz versus 40 MHz in 
the 2400.  It also has a 64-bit Rage II video controller while the 
2400 has a 32-bit C&T 65550; fast video makes the machine feel more 
responsive.  And finally, it has a better IDE interface (and very 
likely a faster IDE drive than the old 1.3 GB drive which shipped 
with the 2400).
