FWIW, I always leave my Duo in the dock at work - I only take it out once
in a while these days, and it doesn't seem to have hurt my battery life.
I use a Duo 230 and usually turn on some conservation options when I use
it out of the dock, but I seem to get 1.5 hours + on a charge. Of course
I don't have a colour screen or a powerful processor, but my point is I
don't seem to have lost any battery life from using it in the Dock.
