The smallest and most convenient is the Newer Ethernet microdock, which is
a little halfmoon thing about 5 inches wide with a 10BaseT port and an ADB
port. These are hard to find, though they turn up on eBay from time to
time and cost in the $100-200 range (those auctions do vary, don't they!).

Easier to find but maybe not cheaper would be a SCSI microdock (same size
but with powerbook HDI SCSI) and a SCSI-ethernet adapter. I used a Dayna
Pocket SCSI/Link-T which worked with my 2300 fine. There are Asante models
but they had questionable success from listers.

Then she'd have the SCSI dock which is pretty convenient for Zip drives or
whatever. These show up more frequently than the ethernet ones.

Small also but very slow would be a little Localtalk to Ethernet converter
such as the Farallon Etherwave. I used a Dayna etherprint for this for
awhile and it was fine (appletalk only, no TCP/IP, also it isn't that small
and needs a power adapter--but these are cheap and easy to find).

good luck finding something. . .
