Well I've glanced over a few of the "my 2400 suddenly died" threads in the past
and always felt a certain kind of smug self-satisfaction because it never
happened to me but last night it happened to me. After almost 2 years of use the
machine froze in the middle of an application. My normal solution is to simply
unplug the power cord and remove the battery, wait a few seconds then plug it
back in and reboot. This time it didn't reboot. Heard a faint click like I
always do, but not followed by the startup musical chord. Repeated this a few
times and it eventually would not even click. Finally I just gave up and removed
all power sources. Noticed the green light was on, and stayed on for quite a
while even without any power source. Tried it again this morning with no result.

So my impulse is to simply pack it up and ship it off to MCE or someplace. But
before I do this can anyone suggest a few things to try to fix it myself?

thanks,

Marc
