actually, the other poster was apparently describing the benefit of
getting a cable that would permit the mounting of the 2400 as a scsi
device *and* to use it to mount scsi devices to the 2400 at other times.
the cable is a 30 pin hdi cable to db-25 scsi; but the trick is that it
must have *30* pins. check most all hdi cables, and they only have 29
pins, even though they are *configured* as an hdi-30 cable.
sorry i don't have sources for this, but check it out -- that's the way
it works.
