Well, as long as you don't need the SCSI functionality of the SCSI
microdock I'd try to get an Ethernet microdock instead. You can get
it on ebay for less than the $65+$120 listed above, and it's damn
worth the money. Right now my 2300c is running with the Ethernet
MicroDock, and it's working *perfectly*, it's fast (as fast as you
can get with a Duo), reliable, works with 8.6, Ethernet doesn't get
lost when you've put your Duo to sleep etc.

I got this gem with my 2nd Duo, together with a full DuoDock II,
which also works perfectly. Pam, what were the problems you had? I
put the old 40MB Quantum from my more or less defunct IIsi in it as a
backup drive (just the System and DiskWarrior/Norton Utilities,
that's all it took to fill it ;-)), and haven't encountered any
problems so far.

Just one single design feature made me wonder: The HD frame used in
the Dock is the same I knew from the IIsi, but in the Dock it's
mounted upside down! Everything looks fine, everything fits this way,
and ONLY this way. Now I'm wondering if Apple really designed it this
way, or if either the frame is the wrong one, or if they even used
special drives. I don't feel good with the HD spinning on it's head
(that's why I used just the old 40MB one).
