> any idea where can i get ibm 18GB hard disk for my 2400?
You can find the 18GB hard drive at a few places. I think Outpost.com has
it for $579. Onsale.com has it for $502. Just go to these sites and
search for "Travelstar". Don't fall into the same mistake I did.
Apparently there are 3 series of new drives: the 12GN (9mm), 18GT (12mm),
and 25GS(17mm). I think the 17mm won't fit. Well in those series, the
12GN comes in 6, 9 or 12GB, the 18GT comes in 15 or 18GB.
What cracks me up is the guy who immediately wrote in that only 14GB
drives exist. Man if you don't know wht you are talking about, keep
quiet, especially if the information is not useful. Misinformation is
more damaging than no information.
As for the guy with the trackpad cable problem. Give Sun Remarketing a
call (their phone number is onthe sunrem.com website). I had the same
problem last week. They pulled a good cable out of a junked laptop they
had. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. I called on a
Thursday, they had it here on Friday. The part cost $19. I almost feel
undercharged, since otherwise I would have had to pay for the whole kit
($53 I think).
