Funny thing this message should be coming in now. I also have a 2400 that
I've recently upgraded with the Newertech processor and a 6mb HD, all
done by MCE.
I used to run GV 56 Kbps modem/ethernet card. I never used the ethernet
portion but as a modem the card ran fine. For some reason I changed to my
old Practical Peripheraals 33.6 modem card.
After getting the pb back from the upgrade (it is/has been running OS
8.6), I can't get it to recognize the card even after doing an
installation from the cd that came with gv card.
What looks funny is that when you go into the modem cp (or the appletalk
control panel, or any other module that lists the ports available) all
that is shown as available is a port that has the name of the PPI card,
the IR port, and the printer/modem port. If I remove the PPI card then
the only ports available are the IR port and the printer/modem port.
I've just about given up on this. Anyone have any pertinent comments? Or
impertinent ones?
