Provided that you are using System 7.5 or later, RamDoubler should be 
just fine. It slows down overall performance of the book a little, but I 
used it on a Duo 230 and a Duo 2300 with good results. More physical RAM 
is clearly the better solution, though. But if I remember correctly, your 
32 MB is the maximum for a 230 anyway. There is another piece of 
software, called RamCharger, which I can recommend - it lets you adapt 
the amount of RAM claimed by individual applications to your average 
needs. Very handy.
