I've been having a lot of problems recently with my 2400c. First it was the
battery that stopped working, and when I sent it to Apple and they quoted me
like $950 to replace the motherboard, so I had it sent back to me. At this
point it didn't work at all. Then I sent it to this place in Fremont, CA that
I've had do a few of my other computers. They have really low prices and good
long warraties. They determined that it was not the motherboard, but the power
management hardware, the processor, and the battery. They turned the whole
thing around in a day and sent it back to me, and now it works great, plus I've
got this nice warraty on it. And we all know that these things are running on
borrowed time.
