I was in my favourite Mac shop in my area today. One of the engineers -
who has his ear to the ground - told me that there will be a G4 upgrade
for the 2400c!!!!
Now that's getting interesting!!!
I live in Japan. The guy in the shop said they could order and ship the
upgrade to the States if anyone wants it. It's not out yet, but will be
soon. He thought it would be likely to cost around 150,000 yen - about
1,400 US Dollars.
If anyone wants to know the name and contact data for the shop, let me
know. These guys are really trustworthy. I went there today because I had
to have my screen replaced. I slipped on the ice and smashed it!!
Altogether, with a new carrying case, it came to about 60,000 yen. I told
the guy I didn't have that much cash on me. He said, "Forget it. Bring it
in tomorrow. You need your computer today!"
