Most genial listers,

I had a chance to contact one of the advertisers on our list. I experienced
the tick of death in the power supply of one my docks. Initially, I was
going to take the plunge and replace the capacitor myself. Circumstances
and more than a dozen years since using a soldering iron caused me to
reconsider that decision. (OK. I just chickened out.) I thought I might
help support the list by contacting Midwest Mac Parts
<http://www.midwestmac.com> since my time might be worth the $59 dollars
they were asking. I first went to the web site and saw the list price for a
new power supply was $125 with no mention of a trade-in. There was no way
to order or get clarification on-line. I called the 888 number listed in
the add. I first talked with Dave who said that only the $125 price
applied. I was then switched to Dennis who told me he never authorized the
advertisement on our list and that the $59 price was not valid. It was a
brief but interesting exchange.

Just thought you might be interested.
