I have done a bad thing. I let the Apple warrantee on my Powerbook
expire without getting an extended warrantee for it. Refurbished PB's
do not have but a 90 day warrantee n them. That's why I got caught
short. Apple will not make ANY EXCEPTIONS at all! They suggested
that my local Apple dealer would have a 3rd party warrantee offering. Of

course, they do not. Now I must find the elusive 3rd party warrantee
from somewhere else. Anyone one the List ever use a 3rd party warrantee?

How do they work? How do they verify the condition of your PB? How is
it repaired? Do you send it to them or do they pay local service to
repair it?
How much does this cost? Is it worth it?

This particular PB is under a lease for about $2400. I am very concerned

about catastrophic failure of the PB and still making payments!!!

Thanks
