A friend of mine has had his 2400 die.

We have disassmebled it, reseated all the connections....disconnected 
the backup battery (which is still 'good' by the looks of the 
voltmeter), depressed the back-of-the book power-button for >40 
minutes for power manager reset, etc etc. Nadda.

Only thing that happens on a reproduceable basis is that the green 
LED glows continuously when the power button on the back of the 
computer isn't being held down.

ideas?
