I've had my PB2400 upgraded to G3/240 and cardbus-enabled, but now the hard disc
sounds funny. Whereas originally it was pretty quiet now it makes lots of very
obvious scratchy sounds I hadn't heard before. MCE heard it too and said it
might be going bad, but that they found nothing actually wrong with it. The
computer functions fine.

Any opinions about what I should do? For all I know it might continue to work
fine, albeit noisily into the distant future. On the other hand maybe it would
be prudent to just replace it now.

a) can I replace the HD myself if I'm real real careful?

b) what HD are available for replacement in PB2400, where can I find out about
them, what might they cost?

thanks in advance for any advice.
