I have ALWAYS thought that NewerTech has created boffo upgrade products -BUT there are 
the OTHER aspects of their
modus operandi that are TERRIBLE.

Out of the blue, they discontinue perfectly good products that have a LARGE market, 
cutting their potential profit
margin. Of course, I refer to the 167Mhz & 183Mhz for the PB 500 series [they could 
have sold untold thousands
more of those] and the upgrades to our beloved PB 2400c. It is almost like there is a 
conspiracy out there to
force us to dump perfectly good machines, spending our money to buy newer models,  
because there is no upgrade for
them.
