Very warm machine = stiffer screen hinges.
Colder machine = looser hinges.

I'm tempted to suggest a correlation.

But not often getting the machine that hot, wonder if anyone else out
there can add from their experiences.

I'll describe...

After a recent long period of work with the 2400 on top of blankets,
the machine warmed up quite considerably. Happened to put my hand on
the plastic hinge covers and noticed they were considerably warmer
then the rest of the keyboard plastics. The left hinge more so than
right hinge. The usual area on the base of the machine was of course
the hottest.

Then later having completed the work, went to close the lid on 2400,
and found the screen much stiffer than usual. Having read of other's
broken hinge problems decided to try a test. Instead of pulling a
little harder on the screen, put the machine to sleep and left it
till the next day to cool off. In the morning tried again to close
the 2400, and found it to be noticeably easier to move.

Any one else notice this?

Marc
