That is correct: it's a problem if you use SCSI disk mode to mount the duo
hard drive on the PPC desktop--the installer bases what it does on what
machine is running the installer.
So if you Appletalk the two computers together (the old printer cable trick
is fine, unless your PPC is really new, in which case you'll have to cobble
up some ethernet thing or other) and mount the CD on the duo's desktop and
run the installer from there you'll be fine. It may take awhile, but it
will work.
