Sounds like the cable itself has gotten pinched. The further back you pushed
your LCD, the better the connection between the severed wires. Try using two
good wires, just leads to make the connection around the case (before you go to
the trouble of routing the cables trough the case). If that's it, then contact
Powerbookguy.com for a replacement cable, then good luck routing it trough the
case.
