Greetings,

I have noticed that someone posted some info Duo Batteries and getting them
to charge. Here is my dilemma and I hope someone has a concrete answer for
this:

I have a 280c and noticed that my Type I battery shows charged in the
powerstrip. I reconditioned it using Batt. Reconditioned 1.1 and it was on
the screen saver for about 5 minutes. After that, I restarted the machine
and it still showed charged (I have the adapter plugged into the duo along
with a duo dock II at times)? When i try to boot up off the battery, I hear
the famous start up sound and that's it, no dice.

I picked up a Type III that shows no charge. I tried to recondition that
battery and it reconditioned in a matter of one second, literally. I assume
this is bad. But, I tried adjusting the copper settings in the duo,
resetting the pram battery and leaving it unplugged for hours. Still, no
dice. The machine works nice with the adapter, but I want to know if my
type I is a goner, or if there is something else I'm not doing? I suspected
that maybe I needed to charge it on a real battery charger instead of the
adapter.

Last thing, I don't know about the rest of you, but I got an e-mail from
some guy on our list with the attachment happy99.exe. This is a PC virus.
