On my Duo 270c running System 7.6.1. I have the Type 3 Battery Extension installed. Battery icon on right side or screen shows full charge, but battery icon on left side of screen is flashing and message is diplayed about how he Duo 270c is running on reserve power. THis happens when running Type 2 battery, recently software-reconditioned and now fully charged. I then run a Type 3 battery (also recently software reconditioned and fully recharged)and after just a few minutes the battery icon on the right shows nearly all discharged and battery icon on the left is flashing like it does just before the reserve power message gets displayed. All these batteries are used and were used when I bought them. So what is the diagnosis here? 1) screwy software conflicts in the battery state indicaing software? 2) just old, bad batteries that will never be restorable to nearly-new capacity, no matter how many times you "recondition" them with a software-controlled cycle. 3) Or...?
