I have been having a problem for last few days with the upper PC card slot on
my 2400. If the PowerBook is not on a flat, hard surface the motor that
ejects the PC card activates. I first noticed it when picking up the open
PowerBook, holding it in the area of the palm rest. The case seems a little
flimsy and I felt like there was some flex in it.

It tends to do this until it is place on a hard level surface. For instance,
it does this when it is on my lap or held at an angle. It is particularly
pronounced when I bear down on the palm wrest on the left side of the
trackpad. I opened the case to see if I could find anything obviously broken
or pressing on the eject buttons, but could find nothing.

Question - has anyone else had this problem, and what can be done to correct
it? It has left the upper slot unusable because it has a tendency to eject
any card inserted. I'm also concerned about burning the motor up from
overuse. Suggestions?
