When I left for work this morning, I had left my 2400 sleeping on my
kitchen table and plugged into an outlet. I returned from work this
evening to find my Powerbook lying on the floor and my Golden Retriever
happily wagging his tail over it. When I picked it up, the sleep light
was still blinking and I breathed a sigh of relief. Until I woke it.
The 'book woke up fine but indicated that it was running on battery
power. I verified that it was indeed running off of the battery by
popping it out of the unit. No power. Does anybody have an idea of
what might have happened and how I could go about fixing it?

This is pretty depressing as I've spent the past four or five months
battling the dead powerbook problem and had spent the last few weeks
getting my 2400 back to peak performance. I don't even have enough
juice left to back up the last few day's of work.
