Lurker's week out ends on Sunday, don't miss the opportunity! Eric listmom ----- Hi, This week we will try something a little different. Friday will be the first Lurkers day out. A Lurker is someone who subscribes to a mailing list and reads the posts but doesn't respond or ask questions. Lurking is a great way to get information. There are those who pride themselves in their lurker status "I've been a member of enter_list_name for three years and never made a single post!". So this is a week when Lurkers can send messages to the list and they won't loose their lurker status, nor will they be criticized for spelling, bad nettiquite, or off topic posts. If you have been afraid to post for one reason or another this is a great time to try. If you are a Lurker feel free to send that message to the list that you have been thinking about but haven't actually sent. If you just click reply on this (or any message from the list) and change the subject to want you want that will work fine. You can start you message with, "Hello, my name is your_name_here and I've been a Lurker for 6 weeks." if you are looking for a place to start. Eric ListMom BTW, Electronic Lurking is a great sport. Using mail actions/rules to pull out messages about topics in which you are interested allows you to join many lists and have the things that you are really interested in float to the top. -- Dr. Bott LLC | <http://www.drbott.com/> Visit my MacTips! | <http://www.themacintoshguy.com/> ListMom | <http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/> ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
