OK I give up as I have been trying to sort this one without asking you
all yet another basic Duo Battery question! but by the time I post this and
make a coffee I may well have my answer (Just about the best user group I've
found!)
Ok this is it, I just picked up a couple of Duo's 230 and 250 and one
has a really strong type 11 battery i.e. a 2 hour charge but the other is
type 1 and will only hold about a 3min charge and that's after using
'Jeremy's BatteryAmnesia 1.5.2, So I keep reading on the list about
reconditioning the battery ?

I'm on 7.6.1 and the read me for battery reconditioning says that it
will work on all Duo's (Version B1-1.5) but on trying it just says that "
Battery reconditioning will not work on this powerbook"?

I guess that the battery is probably dead but I would like to try and at
least give it a last chance or am barking up the wrong tree with this one?.

One last thing is that I use a G3 wallstreet for most of my work but
since having got these two Duo's I am a complete convert, I can carry them
without a back pack for a start, but from following the list I see that the
2300c is my "holly grail" so as I am stuck over this side of the water and
keep missing out on ebay ! If any one is every thinking of selling or can
point in the right direction of a good supply or contact I would really
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any reply's Dave
